Ultra Music Festival 2027: Dates, Lineup, Tickets and Travel Guide

Ultra Music Festival 2027 takes place on Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 March 2027 at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami, Florida ¹. The organiser bills it as the 27th edition ¹. The previous edition ran from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 March 2026 at the same park and drew about 165,000 people ¹⁶.

The late-March slot has deep roots. Ultra began as a one-day event on 13 March 1999 at Collins Park in Miami Beach, it is held alongside the Winter Music Conference, and it has run over three days, Friday to Sunday in March, since 2011 ¹⁶. It is also the closing weekend of Miami Music Week, which runs from Monday 22 to Sunday 28 March 2027 ²⁰. Club nights and hotel pool parties start early in the week, and the festival weekend is the peak.

Daily gate hours for 2027 have not been published. At the 2024 edition, Friday ran from 4 PM to midnight, Saturday from noon to midnight and Sunday from noon to 10 PM ¹⁵. That gives each day its own character:

• Friday 26 March 2027: the opening day, which started at 4 PM at the 2024 edition ¹⁵

• Saturday 27 March 2027: the longest day, noon to midnight at the 2024 edition ¹⁵

No 2027 artists were listed on the official site when this page was checked on 14 October 2026 ¹. For the 2026 edition, the first headliners were announced in October 2025, about five months before the gates opened ¹⁶. Since the 2019 move to Virginia Key and the cancelled 2020 and 2021 editions, the festival has been back at Bayfront Park, and in May 2022 Ultra renewed its lease there through 2027 ¹⁶.

Tip: Book your flight home for Monday 29 March 2027. Sunday's music ends late in the evening, and Metrorail service ended at midnight on Sunday during the 2026 edition ¹⁴.

Every attendee needs a ticket, and Ultra sells only 3-day passes: a GA 3-Day Ticket and a VIP 3-Day Ticket ². On 14 October 2026, the official Front Gate Tickets page for Ultra Music Festival 2027 at Bayfront Park listed GA 3-Day Tier 3 at 479.16 USD, a 399.95 USD base price plus fees, with tax and shipping added at checkout ³. Prices climb tier by tier, so the date you buy matters more than any discount code. When the first run of 2027 tickets went on sale in April 2026, Tier 1 GA started at 359.36 USD, Tier 2 GA at 419.26 USD and VIP at 1,797.01 USD, with orders limited to four tickets ⁵.

What each pass includes:

• GA 3-Day: three days of access on one wristband for the full weekend, plus premium restrooms across the venue; ages 18+ only ²

• VIP 3-Day: separate VIP entrances, dedicated restrooms and bars in the VIP Village, the elevated Main VIP deck facing the Ultra Main Stage and elevated viewing areas at other stages; 21+ with no exceptions ²

The VIP age rule is checked twice, because your ID is checked at the VIP entrance and not just at the main gate ². The premium restrooms are not a VIP perk: Ultra says it was the first major festival to offer clean, air-conditioned restrooms to all attendees at no extra cost ⁹.

The ticketing terms are strict. Tickets are not refundable, service fees are never refunded, inclement weather of any severity is not grounds for a refund, and tickets resold through unauthorized channels can be voided ¹². The organiser can also adjust the artist lineup or set times after you buy ¹². Buy only through the official site and its Front Gate Tickets pages, listed in the sources below.

Tip: One wristband covers all three days ². Do not cut it off between Friday and Sunday; the organiser accepts no liability for lost, stolen or destroyed tickets ¹².

Bayfront Park sits at 301 N. Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132, between Biscayne Boulevard and Biscayne Bay, at coordinates 25.775, -80.186 ^{6 17}. Bayside Marketplace and the Kaseya Center border it to the north, and Chopin Plaza lies to the south ¹⁷. There is no parking at the festival site, so plan on rail, rideshare or walking ⁶.

From Miami International Airport (MIA), the rail route is the simplest and cheapest:

1. Take the MIA Mover from the third floor of the main terminal, between the Flamingo and Dolphin garages; the ride to the Miami Intermodal Center takes about three minutes ¹⁹.

2. Board the Metrorail Orange Line at the MIA station and ride directly to Government Center ¹⁴.

3. Transfer to the free Metromover, which drops you right outside the festival venue ⁶.

Three Metromover stops serve the park: Bayfront Park, First Street and College/Bayside ¹⁷. During Ultra Music Festival 2026, Miami-Dade County ran Metrorail and Metromover from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and service ended at midnight on Sunday ¹⁴. A one-way mobile pass cost 2.25 USD and a one-day mobile pass 5.65 USD, and Metrorail garages charged 4.50 USD for the whole day ¹⁴. Metrobus routes 3, 9, 100, 101 and 203 were detoured from Thursday night until Monday morning because of the Biscayne Boulevard closures ¹⁴.

From further up the coast, Brightline runs from Orlando, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Aventura into MiamiCentral, about a mile's walk from Bayfront Park ⁶. Tri-Rail has 19 stations across South Florida, weekend fares of 5 USD round trip and late trains after each festival day ⁶.

Rideshare works across Miami-Dade County, but the official travel page lists no pickup zone, and the boulevard closures slow every car near the park ^{6 14}. Walk a few blocks west before you request a ride after the closer.

Tip: Guests with disabilities use the Accessibility / Ultra Passport Entrance at Chopin Plaza on the south side of the park, and the accessible drop-off is at Biscayne Blvd and Chopin Plaza ¹¹.

Ultra Music Festival ran seven stages at Bayfront Park in 2026, including the Main Stage, the RESISTANCE Cove, the Live Stage, UMF Radio and Oasis ¹³. Each has a clear identity, so regulars plan the weekend by stage first and artist second.

• Ultra Main Stage: the big-room headliners, facing the elevated Main VIP deck ²

• RESISTANCE Megastructure: the signature stage of Ultra's underground techno and house brand, introduced in 2015 ¹⁶

• The Cove: the second RESISTANCE stage, which in 2026 became the first large-scale Ultra stage powered by batteries instead of generators ¹³

Tip: Pick one closer per night before you arrive. Crossing the park between the Main Stage and the RESISTANCE stages during headliner changeovers is when the paths jam.

Late March in Miami is warm and mostly dry: March averages a high of 80.6°F (27.0°C), a low of 65.6°F (18.7°C) and 2.46 inches (62 mm) of rain over about 6.3 rainy days, based on 1991–2020 normals at Miami International Airport ¹⁸. The record March high is 93°F (34°C) ¹⁸. The festival's safety page puts it plainly: Miami is hot, stay hydrated, and alcohol is not a hydrating beverage ⁷.

There is little shade on the lawn, and the afternoon sun off Biscayne Bay is the main challenge. Free water stations are spread across the grounds so you do not have to buy bottles ¹⁰. Most food stalls are local Miami kitchens, and most offer plant-based options ¹⁰.

The festival runs regardless of weather, and no refunds are given for rain ¹².

Tip: If you or a friend feels unwell, go to a First Aid tent or tell any staff member, guard, police officer or firefighter. Ultra's safety page says you will not get in trouble for seeking medical help ^{7 9}.

Brickell and Downtown Miami are the most practical bases for most visitors, because the free Metromover's Brickell and Inner loops link them to the Bayfront Park, First Street and College/Bayside stops ^{14 17}. The festival ends late, there is no parking at the site, and a short free ride home beats a surge-priced car on a closed boulevard ⁶.

• Downtown Miami: walking distance to the gates, next to Bayside Marketplace ¹⁷

• Brickell: on the Metromover Brickell loop, with dense high-rise hotels and late dining ¹⁴

Ultra Music Festival 2027 falls inside Miami Music Week, 22 to 28 March 2027, when clubs, hotel pools and venues across Greater Miami and Miami Beach fill with parties ²⁰. Rooms near the park go first, so book your bed as soon as you buy your wristband, and check the cancellation terms, because Ultra tickets themselves are not refundable ¹².

Miami Beach suits travellers who want the full week of pool parties and beach days. The trade-off is the drive back across Biscayne Bay to Downtown each festival evening, in heavy traffic and with Biscayne Boulevard partly closed ¹⁴. If you stay there, leave early for the gates and plan the ride home before the closer.

Drivers staying further out can leave the car at a Metrorail garage, which cost 4.50 USD for the whole day during the 2026 edition, and ride in to Government Center ¹⁴.

Tip: Choose a hotel within a short walk of a Metromover stop, not just "near Downtown". Ten minutes on foot is easy at noon and long after midnight.

Expect slow mobile data at Bayfront Park when the Main Stage fills, and do not plan around public Wi-Fi: the official festival-info pages describe lockers, First Aid and water stations but no attendee Wi-Fi network ^{9 10}. About 165,000 people attended across the three days of the 2026 edition, and the busiest hours are the evening headliners ¹⁶.

At Ultra Music Festival 2027 in Miami, the habits that keep a phone useful are simple:

• Save the event map offline at your hotel; First Aid tents are marked on it ⁹

• Screenshot your locker email, sent the evening before the festival ⁹

• Share live location with your group before you enter

• Check the late Metromover and Metrorail times before the closer ¹⁴

• Carry the locker's mobile charging pack and top up during quiet sets ⁹

• Text instead of calling during headliners

Data use depends on how much you film. Messages, maps and rail times use little; posting video from the Main Stage every night uses far more. Add Miami Music Week pool parties and a day on Miami Beach, and the total climbs again.

Visitors from outside the United States need data from the moment they land, to follow the MIA Mover and Orange Line route to Government Center or to book a ride ^{19 14}.
